Tesla has now announced that all new cars will now be equipped with eight surround cameras to provide 360 degrees visibility around the car, this will enable the car for fully autonomous driving.

They have also announced improvements on the front radar sensor to allow it to see through heavy rain and fog and dust.

Last month Tesla announced a new over-the-air update for the Model S and Model X's Autopilot software would reduce crashes involving the vehicles by as much as half.

The update from tesla new software is part of the v8.0 upgrade and comes with a range of improvements to the Autopilot system, allowing the cars' radar systems to register far more objects than before.
